The Whitby Deli

The Whitby deli is a deli shop and cafe, with a counter full of fresh meats, cheeses and antipasti.

Providing Whitby with the best coffee outside of London, and using as many locally sourced ingredients for our brunch and lunch menu as possible, is one of our main focus's. We want to bring food that is a little different to the traditional cafes in Whitby's town centre, and is for those that fancy something other than good old fish n chips. 

Our overriding focus in the deli is on sourcing the highest quality produce we can, be it from local suppliers or from further afield. We are lucky enough to have a great set of suppliers who consistently provide us with the highest quality local and continental cheeses and meats for our deli counter.

We stock fresh and high quality pre-packed olives, peppers, capers, and antipasti products which can be enjoyed on their own, with a glass of wine or as part of meal. We use the same fresh ingredients in our deli platters, picnics hampers, and breakfast hampers.

As well as a shop full of exciting items, we have our own brand of wine, confectionary, jam and chutney that equal the quality of the products that we select for our shelves.  Our shop offers a broad range pastas, sauces, condiments, confectionary gifts, wines, beers and gins which would be a beautiful addition to any occasion. We can also package any of the produce available in the deli into a beautiful hamper or jute bag to create a tasty gift or welcome hamper. 

We have recently developed a very successful Pizza Night, which takes place every Saturday Night with our very own homemade pizza's. Pizza toppings are fresh from our deli counter, and bases are handmade in our deli kitchen by our talented chefs. 

Events are something that we encourage. We love hosting new product tastings, gin nights, and canape evenings. The deli is also available for event and private hire for all of your special, seasonal and corporate occasions. We can chat menus with you, and make sure that you have food to suit every guest, as well as the correct setup and layout of our space. 

Outside catering is also a service that we can now provide, having worked with Marna Lunt's sewing workshops on delivering full hot, cold and sweet options for her guests at lunch times, and creating bespoke buffet packages for corporate businesses for over 30 people. 

There’s plenty more available in-store so do please pop in and browse what’s in stock, and what we have going on. We also collaborate with local businesses, and are currently stocking Ginger and Flynn flowers bouquets for Easter and Mothers Day.
